Sad News: Ferry Boat Capsizes Off Puerto Galera

I don’t usually post bad news in this blog but I had to now because a good friend of mine and his family were in that boat when it met the accident. Sadly, his mother and son perished while he and his eldest son are still in the hospital.

12 dead in Batangas sea mishap. 29 survivors rescued

CALAPAN, Oriental Mindoro, Philippines — (UPDATE 2) At least 12 people, including three children and a Japanese national, died when a motorized oputrigger ferry boat bound for Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro, capsized in the Verde Island passage off Batangas around noon Saturday, police said.
