Greenbelt 5 in partnership with Ayala Museum will present “Beyond Designs,” a series of talks about interior design and architecture in the Philippines featuring Filipino interior designers and architects. Besides the talks, they will be asked to curate their own exhibits in coordination with shop merchants in Greenbelt 5.

Beyond Designs will be held in the Home Section of Greenbelt 5 located at the third floor on September 23, 2010 at 4:30 pm.

  1. Interior Designers are an abomination to a real Architectural practice. Their laws are even copied and edited from the prevailing laws of Professional Architects. And here they are, wanting to be recognised as a profession by itself. Architects should not allow this to happen because little by little, these “Decorators” are taking away one of the fundamental elements in the practice of Architecture.

    • It’s true. Architecture involves both the exterior and the interior aspects of a building. Legislators and customers are being fooled into believing that Architects and Interior Designers should be of different professions. Hiring separate Interior Designers instead of just an Architect will just incur extra cost to the customers.
