American Idol Finalist Helps With Yolanda Relief

leave a comment »

Jeremy Rosado, an American Idol finalist, has teamed up with Project HOPE to help in the relief operations for typhoon Haiyan or Yolanda victims in the Philippines. Helping pack medication and medical supplies in Project HOPE’S distribution center in Winchester, Rosado says he also plans to travel to the Philippines to help with the relief effort and probably perform to Filipinos who supported him in his run for the American Idol contest.

Rosado says he has as many fans in Twitter and Facebook coming from the Philippines as he does in the American Idol. He wrote a song, “Hope for Tomorrow,” which will soon be released on iTunes and a portion of the proceeds will go to typhoon relief efforts. He is also running a contest to push for more downloads: for every 100,000 downloads, two lucky fans will be chosen at random to fly to the Philippines for free and help Rosado with relief efforts.
