Bits and Snippets of the Philippines

Basic Reading of Global Filipinos

“Bits and Snippets of the Philippines” or “Mini-Philippines” is a blog that highlights news and stories pertaining to and affecting the Philippines. Having been an information mogul prior to my first internet account in 1995 (meaning stocking so much pieces and binders of paper, boxes of 5-1/4 and 3-1/2 diskettes and scores of 100 MB Zip Disks), I decided to create this blog.

Mini-Philippines’ target market is the overseas and migrant Filipino but is also good reading for the local folks. I can only recall famed journalist Art Borjal using this same format as his daily editorial style at the Philippine Star.

But somewhere along the way, I bumped into this terrific group of guys and gals and was privileged to be part of them. They call themselves the Philippine Bloggers Network (PB Network or PBNet). Thus, attending local events and activities coupled with a longer write-up became a mainstay in Mini-Philippines.

If you have news, announcements and product introductions, I can include it here. Just send it to me a short message via Twitter @PlanetPhils or fill-in the blanks below.
