Globe Kicks-off First Philippine Pokémon Festival on Friday, Saturday

Do you want to Pokémon Go catch, battle and charge in more convenient places? Let’s say, at all the Globe stores and branches? Yep! Globe Telecom, The Pokémon Company and Niantic have officially announced a new partnership. Together, they intend to bring Filipinos the best enjoyable mobile entertainment experience centered around Pokémon GO, including activating Globe retail locations and charging stations as PokéStops and Gyms within the game.

The kick off starts on October 28th and continue on until the next day, October 29th, at the Globe Iconic Store, or formerly known as the Bonifacio High Street Central Amphitheater. This Globe event officially becomes the first Philippine Pokémon Festival. This free event open to Pokémon fans and game enthusiasts, will feature walks and tours, costume contests and Pokémon GO battles.

John Hanke, Chief Executive Officer and founder of Niantic: “Pokémon GO is a huge hit with Trainers here in Philippines and we’re excited to give them greater access to PokéStops and Gyms through our work with Globe. Combining our resources with Globe will be a huge win for all Pokémon fans.”
